ਭੁੱਖੀ ਚਿੜੀ ਨੂੰ ਦਾਣਾ ਲੱਭਿਆ, ਪਰ ਜਦ ਉਹ ਪਿੱਪਲ਼ ਦੇ ਰੁੱਖ 'ਤੇ ਬੈਠ ਕੇ ਖਾਣ ਲੱਗੀ, ਤਾਂ ਦਾਣਾ ਰੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਖੋੜ ਵਿਚ ਜਾ ਡਿੱਗਾ। ਪੱਕੇ ਇਰਾਦੇ ਵਾਲ਼ੀ ਸਿਆਣੀ ਚਿੜੀ ਕਈ ਵਾਰ ਟੱਕਰਾਂ ਮਾਰਦੀ ਅਖ਼ੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਕਾਮਯਾਬ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਮਨ ਪਰਚਾਉਂਦੀ ਇਹ ਕਹਾਣੀ ਲਗਨ ਤੇ ਧੀਰਜ ਦਾ ਸਬਕ ਸਿਖਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ।

Book 2 - The Sparrow and the Crow - ਚਿੜੀ ਤੇ ਕਾਂ

ਪਿਆਰੀ ਚਿੜੀ ਤੇ ਆਲ਼ਸੀ ਕਾਂ ਬੋਹੜ ਦੇ ਰੁੱਖ 'ਤੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਚਿੜੀ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਅਪਣੀ ਫ਼ਸਲ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਚਾਲਾਕ ਕਾਂ ਉਹਦੀ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਦਾ ਫਲ ਧੋਖੇ ਨਾਲ਼ ਲੈਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਅਖ਼ੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਚਿੜੀ ਨੂੰ ਅਪਣੀ ਈਮਾਨਦਾਰੀ ਤੇ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਦਾ ਫਲ ਮਿਲ਼ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

Book 3 - The Lamb and the Dhol - ਲੇਲਾ ਤੇ ਢੋਲ

A little lamb passes through the jungle to visit his grandmother. The jungle is full of wild animals who want to gobble him up, but the lamb outsmarts them all. A lesson in bravery and smarts was never so much fun.

ਨਿੱਕਾ-ਜਿਹਾ ਲੇਲਾ ਅਪਣੀ ਨਾਨੀ ਕੋਲ਼ ਜਾਣ ਲਈ ਜੰਗਲ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਦੀ ਲੰਘਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜੰਗਲ ਵਿਚ ਕਈ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਹਨ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਲੇਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਖਾ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਉਹ ਚਤੁਰਾਈ ਨਾਲ਼ ਬਚ ਕੇ ਨਿਕਲ਼ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਕਹਾਣੀ ਹੱਸਦਿਆਂ-ਖੇਡਦਿਆਂ ਬਹਾਦਰੀ ਤੇ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਦੇ ਸਬਕ ਸਿਖਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ।

Book 4 - The Farmer and the Dove - ਜੱਟ ਤੇ ਘੁੱਗੀ

A dove steals a farmer’s grain. He cages her and takes her to the King demanding justice. Their journey across Punjab’s fields and villages is filled with many twists and turns. Maternal love, justice, and freedom all come together in this heart-warming folktale.

ਘੁੱਗੀ ਅਪਣੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਜੱਟ ਦੇ ਬਾਜਰੇ ਦੇ ਦਾਣੇ ਚੁਗਦੀ ਏ। ਜੱਟ ਉਹਨੂੰ ਫੜ ਕੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਕੋਲ਼ ਉਹਨੂੰ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦਿਵਾਣ ਤੁਰ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਰਸਤੇ ਵਿਚ ਸਾਰੇ ਮਿਹਨਤੀ ਲੋਕ ਉਹਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਾਉਂਦੇ ਨੇ ਕਿ ਘੁੱਗੀ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਦੇ। ਇਸ ਬਾਤ ਵਿਚ ਘੁੱਗੀ ਦੀ ਮਮਤਾ ਦਾ, ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਨਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਤੇ ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਦੀ ਤਾਂਘ ਦਾ ਪਤਾ ਚਲਦਾ ਏ।

Book 5 - The Very Hungry Ant - ਭੁੱਖੜ ਕੀੜੀ

An ant who loves to eat swallows a pot full of sãg and many rotïs but is still very hungry. She gobbles up everything in her path. Eventually, she learns a valuable lesson: “Being greedy is not good.” Children will love this sing-song folktale that introduces them to various animals, their habitats, and to colors, sounds, and numbers.
